I am sure that anyone has tried, at least once, a form of diet, to help them stay in shape, or to receive the extra nutrients they needed. But here are few people who actually understand the mechanism behind it.

A person struggling with fat, who needs about 1800 calories per day, needs to find a way to get rid of all that extra calories. He has the option to rest in bed and starve himself. If he is not eating, that means that he loses 1800 calories in 24 hours, almost half a kilogram in just 2 days.He can also consume less than what his organism needs. If he takes in only 1300 calories every day, he will lose 500 calories in just one day; in approximately 6 days he can lose 500 g of fat.

The healthiest option is to consume 1800 calories but to provide his organism with enough daily exercise. If he does that, he can consume up to 300 calories and this will eventually lead to a calorie deficit. You have probably noticed that the only way to lose extra weight is to use more calories than what you introduce in your body.
